The volunteers for this ministry provide all necessary food for a dinner following funeral services for the family and friends of the deceased. Activities include set-up, serving the food and clean-up following the meal. Dinners are held at the time and location the family chooses.

If you plan a reception, please inform the parish office and you will be provided with the name and phone number of the funeral dinner ministry leader to assist you.  The parish facilities contain a full service kitchen which keeps food cold or warm until serving time.  The reception hall and adjoining classrooms can seat approximately 120 with additional seating at Holy Rosary Hall.

The family is responsible for providing the main dish.  Parish volunteers will provide side dishes such as salads, vegetables, and desserts to accompany the main dish.  Volunteers will also set up tables, chairs and serving tables with necessary serving materials (paper plates, cups, napkins, plastic utensils); serving food and cleaning up after the meal.  Coffee and lemonade will be provided.

There is no fee for the reception but donations are accepted to offset costs or replacement of supplies used.

The SJB Food Pantry is located in the church basement and is open every Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM.  Food or financial donations are always welcomed and appreciated.  Donations can be dropped off at the SJB Office.
